What does our tune-up include? When your bike is put on the repair stand we will:
- Remove wheels, adjust hubs & perform minor wheel true (replace broken spokes extra)
- Inspect breaking surface on rims, clean & resurface as needed
- Reinstall wheels, inspect brake pads, resurface unevenly worn pads & and adjust brakes & cables
- Remove housing from all cable stops & lubricate cables inside housing (cable/housing replacement extra)
- Replace cable housing and adjust derailleurs as needed and check limit screws
- Check/adjust headset and bottom bracket as needed
- Check/inspect wear of drivetrain, chain, crankset etc
- Minor cleaning included
Bikes can be confusing to those who aren't familiar with working on them.
I don't know how to work on computers, so I have people to do that for me.
Working on bikes is not rocket science, and doesn't require $90 for a tune up, plain and simple.
99 percent of the bikes we take in for tune ups get out the door for $39.95 and do not need cables &
housing replacement, and that's why our tune ups are $39.95 because we dont 'include' things you don't need.
WE only replace if they are rusty, cracking, or worn. In the event cables need to be replaced we replace them
with stainless steel cables which cost $3 each and an additional $5 labor per line ran. Brake housing is $1 a foot and
derailleur housing is $2 a foot. Brake pads are $5 a pair & an additional $5 for installation. A major bike wash will run
you $25 which includes removal of crankset & cassette for seperate degreasing as not to contaminate bearings w/ degreaser.
No high pressure washing involved.

reassemble and tune your bike and call you when it's done.
